Wilde Kitchen

It's Sunday, what else would we rather do than go out to breakfast? In the now well established trendy precinct of Teneriffe, Wilde Kitchen is the perfect spot for a morning catch up.

The relaxed and laid back atmosphere makes it easy to pop in and enjoy their healthy menu. If you're enticed by the concept of healthy clean living using local natural unprocessed ingredients, hand made healthy snacks & good for you takeaway options then drop in after your morning workout. I recommend getting there a little early to get a park as we could only find street parking.

All of their meals are prepared daily, and catering options are also available. The Wilde Kitchen has an all day menu which is great if you enjoy a morning sleep in. The menu is all gluten free and the bread is made on the premises using their Paleo Hero primal bread mix which we thoroughly enjoyed and can be purchased on site.

We decided to take the friendly staffs' recommendation of trying The Wilde Plate and Protein Pancakes and we were not disappointed. We also ordered the green and the pink smoothie along with a flat white. The runny poached eggs, fresh avocado and crispy haloumi on top of the paleo hero toasted bread was the perfect combination.

I was a little hesitant with the protein part of the protein pancakes but I thought I would give them a whirl. The pancakes on their own were a little bland but as they were topped with coyo, fresh mixed berries and a drizzle of maple syrup; the flavours all mixed quite well together and they looked beautiful on the plate with the edible flowers. The pink and the green smoothies were not your typical sweet fruit smoothie, but had more of a subtle taste. They were a little expensive for what they were but they looked amazing.

Our Opinion

A healthy post workout cafe perfect for breakfast.

Black book Recommendation

The Wilde Plate was our top pick.
