Seoul Bistro

Fit Out7

Its not often you find wings this good on your doorstep! Seoul Bistro is treating diners on the Southside to the continuing wave of popularity that is fried chicken, and the joy it brings to almost everyone who indulges.

So what makes Seoul different from the rest? Well, unlike most patriotic stars and stripes wing joints, Seoul takes Korean cuisine and gives it a Western twist making for such a refreshing change. When we arrived on Saturday afternoon it was pretty obvious that Seoul wasn’t a secret; located only 2 minutes away from market square, the place was bustling. Don’t however let that detract you from visiting; service was super-fast and the girls at the counter were extremely efficient when seating us – something that can seriously be make or break.

The fit out was modern, clean and had an overall very charming décor that would please most. Seoul is characterised by its appearance – oh and did we mention the K-pop on the TV?

On the menu, they offer a nice variety of rice dishes, Japa-burgers and sides which balance the menu nicely; however it is evident of course that they are all about the wings here! When dining we decided to go the honey soy, buffalo and yang nyum wings along with a spicy Japa-burger and kimichi chips on the side. Ill start with the wings by saying that they did not disappoint, and made for a nice change to stray away from some of the standard flavours you get at other joints. The Japa-burger was also not short on flavour and provided a good level of spicyness and was not too dry.

Seoul definitely makes a mark with its fusion styled cuisine and oh so tasty wings. It may be hard for some to justify making the trip from the Northside, but makes a nice little local for us Southsiders.

Fresh & KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) at its finest! Makes a great change from American wing joints.
