Brisbane’s city-fringe has welcomed a new Italian restaurant, tucked in the newly developed Trafalgar Lane of Wooloongabba. Housed just off Stanley Street, Ristorante la Famiglia offers a menu of high quality traditional Italian food even your Nonna would be proud of.
The restaurant's interior is refined, functional and relaxed - the glass frontage throws ample light onto the clean slate lines of the dining room. A wall-garden fills the corner near the bar with greenery while a large sepia print of Molfetta harbour at night, the port buildings lit with amber light, brings the warmth of Italy to the dining room. If you're headed to an Italian spot, what is a must have for dessert? Tiramisu, of course! And these guys do a smashing one at that! A wanton tumble of mascarpone cheese, soft biscuit and Kahlua-laced freshly drawn espresso coffee, all wrapped in a thick cloak of shaved chocolate.
All-in-all La Famiglia provides moderately-priced traditional Italian fare - par excellence - great food, fantastic service in a convenient Wooloongabba precinct that’s burgeoning with new offerings.
If you are looking for a warm and intimate restaurant for date night, or for a catch up with a friend over good food and wine, then this is your place. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable and they can cater for vegetarians.
Homely Italian Restaurant with superb food to match the environment.
