Do you ever get the urge to go back to prehistoric times when it was okay to eat with your hands? Lick tangy BBQ sauce off your fingers, suck the remnants off the bone and throw it behind your shoulder? Well, maybe don’t throw the bone but either way, Outback Steakhouse will satisfy these needs.

Head to Zillmere Rd, Aspley and you’ll see the big red illuminated sign! It’s the home of juicy ribs, racks of lamb, wings and cocktails.

It’s easy to throw down an entire plate of Chookaburra Wings because they are so moreish. Tossed in secret Outback Steakhouse spices and paired with creamy blue cheese dressing and celery, you won’t stop at one. The Blooming Onion is sure to amaze you just by its presentation. It’s a funky and scrumptious appetiser to get the tastes buds ready for the main meal!

There wouldn’t be many out there but if you haven’t tried Outback Steakhouse’s BBQ Beef Ribs yet, you must as soon as possible! It’s the tender smoked and grilled meat slathered in the tangy BBQ sauce that gets people coming back for more but a minor detail that is greatly underappreciated is the fact that they are butchered and cleaned so nicely. You don’t have to pick through all the fat to get to the juicy meat.

Outback Steakhouse has just release eight new cocktails to their menu. They’re all so different, creative and served beautifully. One to catch your eye is the Sangria. They are served as a trio – strawberry peach, blackberry and an Outback Steakhouse Original blend.

Another that will warm up your tummy is The Apple Fig & Bourbon featuring Wild Turkey American Honey Bourbon, fig syrup, cloudy apple juice, green apple wedge and a cinnamon stick. It tastes exactly like an apple pie. For those who like something fruity and fresh the Huckleberry Hooch, crafted with Ole Smokey 100 proof White Lightnin’ Tennessee Moonshine, cranberry, orange and pineapple juice is a great choice.

These are only a few items on offer but the full food and cocktail menu is so extensive that you won’t know what to choose. Walking through the doors is like being welcomed into a family who are putting on a feast for you. Wear stretchy pants though because the portions are big and the food is so good!

Opinion

Outback Steakhouse never disappoints with its homely atmosphere and huge, hearty meals. The new cocktail menu is too good to resist.
