After success in major cities across Europe and Canada, new food app Foodora is set to launch in Brisbane later this month. The self proclaimed 'on-demand food boutique' allows users to order their favourite meals from a collection of their favourite restaurants that wouldn't usually offer a take-away delivery service.
Foodora are launching with around 50 premium restaurants located in the CBD and Fortitude Valley, with meals delivered by cyclists within 30 minutes. Just log into your account (via the app), select your destination and bang - a selection of restaurants within your vicinity appear.
With all the prep-work and transportation done, all you need to do is construct your meal. While some could argue this is a downfall feature of getting your meal delivered, I actually don't mind it. It gives you the opportunity to add that special sauce or ingredient the restaurant doesn't.
The app itself is very clean, with their focus clearly on the user experience. It literally takes less than two minutes to place an order, and just like your local Dominos or Pizza Hut, you can pay with a credit card or cash upon delivery!
Although the service will be limited to residents close to the CBD, Foodora's intentions are to expand rapidly into a suburb near you. The online food delivery business is absolutely booming, and this innovative app really put a spanner in the works!
Keep your eyes peeled for the pink bikes, you can't miss them!
