Moo Moo has an huge menu with plenty of variety. Although they are a steakhouse, they also have amazing seafood, poultry and vegetarian options. With a drinks menu of 22 pages long, there is also a wine to pair perfectly with each dish.
For a light start, the Yellowtail Kingfish Sashimi is an ideal option. It’s is not only beautiful to look at but the Kingfish melts in your mouth. There are so many different elements and flavours on the plate but not one overpowers another.
For a hot entree, the Hervey Bay 1/2 Shell Scallops is highly recommended. It may look simple but the flavour combination is so complex. You’ve got a buttery scallop sitting on top of a slice of Butifarra which is a sausage. It is the Dukka Mayonnaise that makes the dish. If ordering wine, go for the 2014 Kumeu River Pinot Gris, Kumeu, NZ.
Now for the reason why we are all here - the beef! Wagyu Rump Cap from Jacks Creek in Liverpool Plains is an exceptional cut of meat. Jacks Creek has won the World’s Best Steak Producer for the second year in a row and there is no question about it. This steak is seriously delicious. The knife slides through as if you are cutting butter. Heirloom Beetroots, Raisins, Labne and Pancetta have also been carefully selected to compliment the Wagyu Rump Cap.
To finish off, Poached Spiced Autumn Fruits with Tokaji Sabayon is both light and great to cleanse the palate. Tokaji Sabayon is like a creamy wine sauce. It covers the fruit beautifully and compliments the spices well.
