Newly opened in the centre of Brisbane in Tattersall’s Arcade, Marchetti has taken this little joint by storm. Serving up an array of beautiful Italian dishes and treats, Marchetti has become the new social hub for a quick morning coffee right through to a lunchtime must-have treat.
It is easy to see why Marchetti has become so popular in such a short amount of time. Not only does the owner Mike, and his lovely staff, accommodate so wonderfully and happily assist to your every need, they take the time to explain exactly where your food is coming from, and the process in which they make it. Pure chocolate all the way from Mork in Melbourne! The dishes are made with love and it’s easy to see and taste why! Start your early morning off with a beautiful ‘Breakfast Bruschetta’ made of mashed avocado, lemon scented ricotta, heirloom tomato, olive oil w/ vino cotto and basil on toasted ciabatta. Or, opt for a more lighter and simpler option like a croissant or ‘Omelette’ consisting of 3 free range eggs, greens, asiago, prosciutto, tomato and grilled ciabatta.
If your hunger is at an all time high, Marchetti boasts some of the best and most delicious lunch choices - the hardest part will be picking only one dish! Vegetarians (and meat lovers alike) can indulge in the crowd-favourite Arrancini hot crispy risotto balls stuffed with porcini, truffle, and gorgonzola cream, as well as the ‘Eggplant Parmigiana’ consisting of grilled eggplant, roasted with their house made sauce, parmigiano, melted asiago cheese, basil and salad. Or, be won over by the owner Mike’s mum, and enjoy their ‘Neapolitan Veal Meatballs’ which are hand-rolled, then simmered in a rich red napoli sauce, parmigiano reggiano and grilled ciabatta.
Marchetti makes and bakes an array of dessert and pastry choices that are gluten free, delicious and the perfecting ending note to a beautiful lunch, or simply as a treat on it’s own. Marchetti boasts a beautiful vanilla bean swiss roll, stuffed with nutella and lightly roasted pistachio served with whipped pure cream and Fabbri amarena cherries. The roll is soft, delicious and perfectly accompanied by their special blend of coffee beans imported from Allpress.
It’s the fine details that are added to the food - the spices, herbs, and different flavour combinations, that make Marchetti’s food stand out.
