Brisbane, it is time for what we have all been waiting for – Little Beirut Bistro is now open so get your stomachs ready for a huge Lebanese feast!
As you walk in the door, you are not only welcomed into the Lebanese culture but into a family. The aromas along with the décor and music gives all of your senses a true Lebanese experience. Expect authentic, home-style dishes from Little Beirut. Indooroopilly is lucky enough to house Little Beirut and although onsite parking is limited there is plenty of street parking. Public transport is also a great option as it is right next the Indooroopilly train station.
Each dish on the menu is designed to be shared in true traditional Lebanese style. The large variety of platters could be taken on by one person if they have a big appetite. It is a great opportunity to indulge in many different dishes. You’ll notice that the food is fresh and high quality meat and that is because everything is made in house.
If you aren’t too sure what to get, a great option is the Mixed Grilled Platter. The platter consists of one Kibbi, two kafta skewers, one chicken skewer and one lahm mishwi skewer served with Lebanese bread, hommos and tabouli. You won’t know where to start when it arrives but when you do, you won’t be able to stop eating. Each element is packed with flavour that are all a little bit different to each other but so tasty. You know the food is good when the plate is simple; the flavours speak for themselves. The meat on the skewers is perfectly butchered with no fat to be found but it is still so moist. The skewers marinate for long periods of time so the meat is delicious the whole way through.
You must not leave without getting a dessert. If you’ve ever been in a sticky situation where you can’t decide if you want the sweet dessert or the savoury cheese platter, Little Beirut solves this problem. Kanafeh is a Middle Eastern cheese pastry soaked in sweet sugar syrup. For those that haven’t tried this before, the concept could seem strange but it is a match made in heaven. Words simply cannot describe the phenomenal taste of Kanafeh.
The excellent service, warming atmosphere and delicious food at Little Beirut makes it a stand out. You must put this restaurant on your to do list. It is suitable for anyone and is very well priced.
A beautiful family run restaurant where you get to experience the Lebanese culture and delicious food.
