Habitat is one of three restaurants owned by rugby legend Scott Higginbotham and business partner Malcom Watts. It has a superb menu featuring modern Australian cuisine using ingredients sourced from local producers. Its sleek interior comes alive at night with a great selection of craft beer, wine and cocktails.
The food offerings at Habitat are excellent. The Modern-Australian menu features many delicious options, some of which include; braised beef ribs with braised onion and garlic mash, slow cooked pork cheek with braised potato and fennel and our favourite, the grass fed beef fillet with fried potato cake. The roast garlic aioli and fig dressing really set the tender beef off. The dessert menu at Habitat was some of the best we’ve had with the deconstructed rocky road and frozen blueberry soufflé ending the night perfectly!
Habitat’s interior is sleek and classy. It has an assortment of wooden furniture, some of which have been reformed from old bridges in Regional Australia. Its funky lighting and intimate booths provide a great, moody atmosphere. Maintaining with the restaurant’s theme, the bar even has a live ant farm on its face. A must see!
On street parking (metered) available. Secure parking options also available at various spots .
