The Flying Cock Ruffles Feathers With New Menu

Most can agree that The Flying Cock was known for a good beer after work, a dirty burger, and it's comforting, wobbly furniture.

Well, you may notice your lovable Valley local has undergone a few big changes since your last visit.

The new, bright lighting makes the multi-purpose venue seem larger and more inviting than it once was. It's simple, elegant refurbishment is clean and classy while still remaining laid back enough to eat your heart out and chug down a Young Henry's Lager.

Filled with an explosion of spices, fried chicken, and an abundance of shareable (let's be real, we ain't sharing!) plates, The Flying Cock has stepped it's game up to fan-clucking-tastic!

On the delicate side of the menu is Rice Paper Wraps with fresh garden vegetables and house soy sauce, and Buttered Prawn Sriracha Sub with pickles and coriander, but their merely taste bud teasers.

The real "winner, winner chicken dinner" is the Lucky 8 Shoebox. It includes an 8-piece feed of crispy fried chicken drums and breasts with assorted sauces. This box is seriously finger-licking good!

With such a range in food choice and a bar with a delectable wine and craft beer collection, The Flying Cock staff can happily help you to pair a desired beverage with your food. The First Drop 'Mothers Milk' Shiraz pair with the Fat Noodle Bolognase is a tasty treat.

While every thing may be a little different to what you might know, it's definitely better! Don't stress... you can still play old school video games while watching the footy with your beer, and trivia is still a regular festivity.

Opinion

While The Flying Cock is still everything you use to love, the new fit out and menu is simply better in comfort, style, and taste.
