The love and demand for rooftop bars in Brisbane has been rapidly growing lately.
I don't think anyone is complaining about this because who doesn’t love to sip on a drink while watching the sunset? Eagles Nest rooftop bar has just launched a new tapas and cocktail menu and its worth getting excited about!
On top of The Point Brisbane Hotel is a glamorous rooftop bar called the Eagles Nest. The view is absolutely stunning, especially when the sun starts to set. The rooftop bar is only open to the public on a Sunday afternoon/early evening but they host many events including birthdays, engagements and corporate events during the week. There are plans in place for a second tower which will also have a rooftop bar with the hopes that one will be open to the public permanently. Keep your ears and eyes peeled over the next 18 months!
On Sundays, the rooftop is open from 3pm to approximately 7pm. You can have some drinks and nibbles to end the weekend off on a high note or it can be pre drinks before you continue the nights shenanigans. The tapas menu has some extremely delicious dishes. The Salt & Pepper squid, Albondigas and tori karaage are a few popular choices from the tapas menu.
The squid is cooked to perfection with a light and crispy batter on the outside and once dipped in the aioli - delicious! Albondigas is a Spanish meatball with a spicy dip called Sofrito. These meatballs are packed with flavour and very moist. Tori Karaage always goes down perfectly with a few beers so you can’t go wrong with its crispy coating and creamy mayo.
There is an extensive beer, wine and champagne list as well as a cocktail menu. Don’t go past the Sicilian Sunset cocktail because the combination of the blood orange solerno, aperol, lime, rosemary, side and gomme is fresh and fruity.
An afternoon at Eagles Nest Rooftop Bar is a beautiful way to celebrate an important occasion or just have a relaxed Sunday session. You can sit back and relax in the most sophisticated setting.
