Situated on the corner of Albert and Charlotte St in Brisbane's humming CBD, The Croft House plates up a locally sourced, seasonal and a versatile menu. The edible line up ties in with the warm, Australian fit out.
Location wise, the multifaceted venue is placed with convenience but not in the most enjoyable location. The traffic is loud and the view does not meet the visuals of the interior but it's a great location for the venue's business demographic.
Wide open doors lead on to classic, homestead decor and classic, friendly hospitality. The Croft House fosters beautiful leather pieces from the couches to the fine detailing of the decor. The colours lay out on a natural palette highlighted with the ever-flowing natural light.
Serving for long hours of the day, The Croft House makes for a great meeting location over one of their delicious charcuterie boards.
The charcuterie menu offers a wide range of meats and cheeses along side two signature dishes, the Butchers Board and the Farmers Board. The Butchers Board is predictably what you'd expect - a lot of meat! It plates up smoked and cured meats, farmhouse terrine, Italian bread, pickles and chutney.
Our personal favourite was the Farmers Board - a beautiful collection of fresh vegetables. To be exact, it lays out a bed of marinated garden vegetables with olives, feta, Italian bread and garden greens pesto. The Farmers Board made for a better option as it caters for all dietary preferences and was more enjoyable to consume with the range of flavours involved. By adding on one or two meats it creates a great balance of flavours that everyone can enjoy.
The Croft House is a great combination of classic hospitality, 'grammable aesthetic, and a well-constructed menu. Great location for afternoon drinks and business meetings in the city.
