Located in the heart of Gasworks in Teneriffe, Buzz Bistro presents itself with elegance and quality. Flooded with natural light and the smell of wood fire pizza, Buzz Bistro makes for the perfect lunch location.
Greeted by friendly staff and a modest fit out of green and white, the diner holds a laid back but slightly school-like atmosphere. The lay out is open, allowing natural light and fresh air to flood the bistro with the iconic gasometer frame on display.
With a reputation for beautiful pizza and a menu revolving around seasonal produce, we dived into a selection of Buzz Bistro's finest. Tony, the Pizzaiolo is known for his Neopolitan style pizza, best enjoyed with a glass of wine.
To accompany our lunch we settled on some fresh juices; the Lychee-A-Go-Go (lychee, orange, apple) and the All Day Buzz (orange, lemon, ginger, carrot). Both juices were perfect for the sunny weather and were overflowing with fresh fruit.
We couldn't go past the Sausage and Onion San Marzano tomato with bread crumbs, garlic, Parmesan, house-made fennel pork sausages, red onions, and basil. The creation was a palette full of spices, complimented by the garnishing basil. Despite having minimal toppings, the pizza was filling and we couldn't get over how delicious the house-made fennel pork sausages were.
The regular risotto on the menu is pumpkin & sage but with a "Special" risotto weekly, we decided to test our luck. Delivering a creamy bed of fresh bacon, peas, red cabbage, and Parmesan; the risotto special was a modest take of an Italian dish.
Central location with plentiful parking near by, complimented by a stunning view during the day and night. Although fresh and well presented, the food lacked originality and some authentic flavours.
