We at Black Book don’t condone waiting in a line of 25 people just to get into a burger joint – but there is one exception - Betty’s Burgers.
You can check out Betty up north in Noosa or down south in Surfers – both are family friendly and perfect for a quick and cheap bite. We checked out the Noosa restaurant, and were shocked to see the line out the door and around the corner at 2:30pm – after the busy lunch rush! It was manic, but for a reason. Their super quick with their service and you’re in and out pretty quickly, so don’t let that line overwhelm you.
While the sides of onion rings and chips were good, we really didn't need them. This feast was all about the burger – just what you want from a place like this. Now, we’re not exactly massive fans about vego options with burgers, but the Shroom Burger was nothing short of amazing. The melted Gouda and Gruyere cheese packed in the fried Portobello mushroom was flawless. Betty’s Classic Stack, however, was something else. It’s basically the Betty’s Classic (Angus beef, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, Betty’s special sauce) with the shroom. It’s a killer combo that alone is worth the wait.
Best Burgers by the water, at least in Noosa! Can get extremely busy, aim to avoid peak periods.
